The ward of Chelmsford Rural West is in the west of the Borough and covers the villages of Pleshey, Good Easter, Chignall Smealy, Chignall St. James, Roxwell and Highwood.
It has a population of around 3,200 (as at the 2021 Census) and 2,491 electors (as at August 2023).
